Wer wird Millionär? Sind Sie schon Millionär? Oder dabei einer zu werden

Wer wird Millionär? ist die deutsche Ausgabe der britischen Quizshow Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Sie wird seit dem 3. September 1999 vom Privatsender RTL ausgestrahlt und läuft damit inzwischen in der zehnten Staffel (2008/2009).
Die Fernsehaufnahmen für die deutsche Ausgabe entstehen im Studio 7 der nobeo GmbH in Hürth-Efferen bei Köln und werden von der endemol Deutschland GmbH aufgezeichnet. Die Sendung wird nicht live ausgestrahlt, auch wenn der Moderator dies immer wieder zu suggerieren versucht. Die Sendung wird immer dienstags für den darauffolgenden Freitag und Montag aufgezeichnet. Seit 25. August 2008 sendet „Wer wird Millionär?“ im Bildschirmformat 16:9. Die Introsequenz wurde modernisiert und an das 16:9-Bildschirmformat angepasst.
Wer wird Millionär? wird derzeit montags und freitags um 20:15 Uhr ausgestrahlt. Bis Herbst 2007 wurde die Sendung auch samstags um 20:15 Uhr und in den ersten Staffeln sporadisch auch sonntags im Vorabendprogramm ausgestrahlt. Die Prominenten-Specials finden üblicherweise montags oder donnerstags statt.
